Soccer – M

Want to keep playing competitive, high-level soccer and still have time for school and your social life? Then UCSD Club Soccer is for you!

We are a student-run Sports Club in the UC San Diego Recreation Department that competes in the West Coast Soccer Association Premier Division. The Division is divided into five Conferences: NorCal, Pacific, Coast, and SoCal (our Conference). This year we will be representing UCSD in a league with San Diego State, UC Irvine, UC Riverside, and University of San Diego.

Our recent accolades include Aztec Cup Champions, WCSA Regional Finalists, and NIRSA Open Division National Champions.

Our primary competition takes place in the Fall Quarter where our league schedule is very condensed. Winter Quarter is a little more open so we usually make a trip to Northern California along with our Women’ s Club for exhibitions with schools like UC Santa Cruz and Stanford. We also participate in a Spring League that spans Winter and Spring quarters. In the spring we host the UCSD Club Soccer Invitational with our Women’s Club.

We usually practice two to three evenings during the week with competition on the weekends. Consistent participation is expected as well as annual player fees that range from $300-500 (assistance with fees is available if need be). We tend to carry 22-25 players on our roster and like to have a mix of all years (i.e. freshmen, sophomores etc).

If all this sounds good to you, we hold try-outs during Welcome Week aka Week 0 of Fall Quarter. More information on tryouts will be posted on our website as well as on our Facebook Page ( Feel free to contact the Captains with any further questions or comments.
