UCSD traveled to UCI over the weekend to play in their second match of the spring season. The game opened up with an early, but controversial goal by the opposing side. UCSD contested that the player was offsides; this which stood no chance of getting overturned with the officiated personal on hand. Down 1-0 early on, UCSD played their game but was unable to create many chances. This new formation that they are operating under is a beautiful system when it works and with no surprise somewhat unappealing to watch when it fails. Luckily there was a lot good ball movement and play that UCSD generated. But despite this good play at times, UCSD was unable to equalize and fell short of another win.
