Tough Loss in the Rain Versus USD
After a humbling start to the spring season just a few days prior, the team came into this game with a better mindset and goal: limit the mistakes while working on the new formation. The success of this goal was very high, but unfortunately the result did not go in our favor. The game was back and forth throughout the entirety of the 90 minutes. Tensions were high and Mother nature put her stamp into the game. UCSD struck first with an early, cheeky, well-finished goal from Rai Castro. This was followed by a few missed chances from the home side that would cost them an important 3-points at the end of the day. USD was able to tie it up before the break and so, the match was tied going into the half. Unable to finish more chances in the second half lead to USD taking a lead late which they held onto until the final whistle. Unlucky to drop the 3 points, but we played our new formation well which is a hopeful sign for the future.
