WOMEN'S ULTIMATE
President SARA ZHANG | sqzhang@ucsd.edu
Officer SAMANTHA WOOL | swool@ucsd.edu
The Women’s Ultimate Frisbee team at UC San Diego can be characterized by one word -- “Psycho.” Although our team name may seem a bit crazy, we are a group of energetic and competitive athletes who love the game of ultimate frisbee. Each year we travel around the country competing at a wide variety tournaments including Sean Ryan at UC Santa Cruz, Stanford Invite at Stanford University, and Northwest Challenge in Burlington, WA. We also host at least 2 tournaments right here at UC San Diego every year! All of our tournaments help us prepare for the College Ultimate series which includes Sectionals, Regionals, and Nationals. These locations change every year and in our most recent 2017-2018 season, we made the big trip out to Milwaukee, Wisconsin for Nationals. We placed 9th in the nation. Our goal every season is to make it to Nationals to play against the best teams in the country. This year we are looking to get as many people as possible interested in the game we love and enjoy. Interested? Come to a practice and check us out! Practices will be at Warren Field East on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6-9pm. The first practice will be Thursday, October 4th, 2019. Bring water, a white and dark shirt, and cleats or running shoes. No experience necessary!
