Street parking is available just north of the resort and in a large lot just south of the resort. Please do not street park south of Mission Bay Resort - this is part of the run course!! Violators will be ticketed and towed. Please arrive from the Clairemont Drive exit.
*Note* E Mission Bay Drive will close from 4:00-9:00am between the San Diego Mission Bay Resort (formerly Hilton) and Seaworld Drive. All parking lots between this section will also be closed.

DRAFT-LEGAL INFORMATION
PLEASE NOTE: Below is the information that was provided for Tritonman 2025. Feel free to review it to get an idea for Tritonman 2026. This page will be updated before registration opens.
We are excited to host the 2025 NTDR Draft Legal Tritonman! The draft legal race will take place Saturday, January 25, 2025. This fast and action-packed race will give athletes a chance to compete in a draft-legal race before Collegiate Nationals. Age-group, collegiate, and elite athletes will all be competing against each other in the same wave – be prepared for a fast race! Age group and elite athletes must apply for an entry slot for the race (see registration procedures below). A list of registered draft legal athletes, updated weekly until race day) can be found below.

Our draft-legal race is National Triathlon Development Race (NTDR)-certified and we will be strictly enforcing all NTDR and World Triathlon draft-legal rules and equipment regulations. Please read over the USA Triathlon | Multisport Rules beforehand. Athletes interested in qualifying for an elite license at our draft-legal race contact High Performance and review Elite License Qualification Criteria.
Registration procedures:

- WCCTC athletes: Registration links will be sent to coaches of WCCTC schools (UC Davis, UC Berkeley, Stanford, Cal Poly, UC Santa Barbara, UCLA, USC, UC San Diego, UC Irvine, and SDSU) in Nov. Each school will initially be allowed to register 4 athletes per gender. After Dec 16th, any remaining unclaimed slots will go into our general interest pool.
- Non-WCCTC collegiate athletes: Coaches or captains should email the race director at tritonmanracedirector@gmail.com to request registration links for their athletes. Collegiate teams from outside of our conference will initially be allocated 2 slots per gender. Additional slots may be available from our general interest pool starting January 1.
- Age-group athletes: Age group slots for the draft legal race are decided by application. If you would like to apply for an age group slot, please fill out this form (men) or this form (women). 10 slots will be awarded on Nov 29, 2025, and another 10 slots will be awarded on Dec 20, 2025. Athletes which are not selected in either round will be moved to our general interest pool, from which all remaining slots will be filled starting Jan 3, 2025, at the discretion of the Race Directors
NOTE: As per a new USAT NTDR policy for 2023, we will be giving priority registration to U25 age group athletes. Athletes over the age of 25 can fill out the same application and will be put on a waitlist. Any available slots will be given out 1 month before the race. We cannot offer race entry to anyone below 16 - Elite athletes: We are initially allocating 7 slots per gender for elite athletes, available on a first-come, first served basis, until January 1st. Elite athletes may request to register after January 1 but we cannot guarantee that space will still be available. Please fill out this form to request a registration link.
NOTE: As per a new USAT NTDR policy for 2025, we will only be prioritizing slots for U25 elite athletes.
Required equipment

- Aero helmets are not permitted.
- Torso must be covered from race start to finish. Either a trisuit or tri-top + bottom are allowed (please note that for Collegiate athletes, in order to receive points for your team you MUST have your school name visible on your kit).
- Bicycle must have a traditional triangular frame; wheels must have at least 12 spokes and should be of equal dimensions; handlebars must be traditional drop-style with bar-ends plugged; no down tube shifters are allowed.

- Please note: a make-up meeting will occur on race day at 6am at the race course, and is available for collegiate athletes who cannot make the original meeting time because of school conflicts. If you will be unable to attend the meeting on Friday, please fill out this form to let us know you will be at the Saturday make-up meeting.
- The lap out rule will be in effect on the bike. Athletes overtaken (lapped) by the race leader on the bike course will be notified by an official and disqualified. They must then dismount their bike and walk back to transition.
- Unsportsmanlike conduct, including inappropriate language directed at fellow competitors, volunteers, or officials, may result in disqualification
