The UCSD Dance Team has been competing since 1998 and has consistently ranked in the top ten teams in the nation for Division II collegiate dance teams. We compete annually at the internationally recognized UDA College Nationals in Orlando, Florida, as well as the USA Collegiate Championships in Anaheim, California. In addition to competitions, the Dance Team actively participates in school related activities and community events throughout the year. We perform at school festivals such as: Triton Power Hour, Founders Day and Sun God. We also support our athletic teams by cheering and performing during games. Our style of dance consists of primarily jazz, but we also include elements of lyrical, pom and hip-hop. This is an excellent team for those who wish to continue dancing during their college years. We look for dancers with a strong background in dance or other like activities (cheerleading, gymnastics, etc.). Our tryouts are held once a year, in Spring quarter (April or May) to select the team for the following year. For more information, please feel free to contact a captain or email email@example.com
