The club baseball team at UCSD is a new, competitive baseball team that is looking to expand the horizon of UCSD Sports Clubs. With only a NCAA baseball team on campus, UCSD students do not have many outlets to play baseball. Established in the fall of 2010, the Triton Club Baseball team is here to provide all UCSD students a chance to continue playing the game of baseball at a competitive intercollegiate level. Our team plays in the National Club Baseball Association, the nation’s fastest growing organized baseball league. With over 200 teams in two divisions, the NCBA is the place where the best collegiate club baseball teams throughout the country compete in regional and conference play. In our first season as a team in 2011, we were the SoPac South Conference Champions and went on to place second in the SoPac Regional Tournament in Henderson, NV. In our second year, we won another conference championship, this time in the SoPac East, and then continued on to win a SoPac Regional Championship, earning one of eight spots at the NCBA DI World Series in Columbus, GA. As one of the top collegiate club baseball programs in the country, it is always our goal to compete to the best of our ability and earn a shot at making it to the World Series.
