This was an intra-squad game to get the players some match time before the biggest tournament of the year in LA next weekend. So, we split into two teams, UCSD and UCSD A. Batting first, UCSD got to 141/9 in their 20 overs on the back of team captain Karan's 54 off 39 balls. Tejas and UCSD A captain Navya picked up 3 wickets apiece from their 4 overs. In response, Karan and Aditya took powerplay wickets to reduce UCSD A to 36/3 inside the Powerplay. However, a 91 run fourth-wicket partnership between Khush and Shravan pretty much took UCSD A to the brink of a win, and even a mini-collapse of 5/14 towards the end couldn't stop UCSD A from winning by 2 wickets. All in all, a good workout for both sides with players from both sides doing well, a good sign for Pacific Zonals next weekend.
