UCSD vs Marty's 11
UCSD won the toss and elected to bat first in the T20 match against Marty's XI. The majority of the guys in the UCSD top 7 got starts, but were unable to convert it, and UCSD slumped to 133/8 after 20 overs after a late flourish from Asish (21* off 16) got UCSD some vital late runs to play with. The only way UCSD were going to win defending a below-par 133 on Muir Field was early wickets in the powerplay, which is exactly what they set out to do. Captain Karan Sidhu set the tone with 3 wickets in the powerplay, and the bowling attack continued to take wickets consistently to bring the final equation to 6 needed off 6 balls for Marty's XI. Unfortunately, the Marty's batsmen were up to the task and took home the victory.
