UCSD Massive Victory vs Cal Poly SLO

After losing to CSUN in the previous week, the Tritons headed into their final league match vs Cal Poly SLO looking for a win in order to book themselves a ticket into the spring playoffs. UCSD had beaten SLO 2-0 earlier this season during Aztec Cup. In the first half, SLO would earn themselves a couple of chances as the game went back and forth until an own goal from the Mustangs would put UCSD up 1-0. That marked a shift in momentum, where SLO could not manage to break UCSD's press for the rest of the half. Unfortunately for the Tritons, nothing would come of it. In the second half, however, SLO came out strong but the boys would weather the storm and eventually forward Paul Jasper would find the back of the net to stop the Mustang barrage in its tracks. Finally, to really seal the game, fullback Koosha Jadbabaei would score a perfect volley to extend UCSD's lead to 3-0. The Tritons finish 4th in league with this win and will continue their momentum into the Spring Playoffs in April.
