UCSD Claims First Win vs UCLA

UCSD won the toss and elected to bat first in the 30-over affair vs. UCLA. Opening bats Pramaan and Ashar stitched together a massive opening stand of 116 to put UCSD in the drivers seat (Ashar 62, Pramaan 52), while Sarthak came in and hit a blistering 70 off 36 to push the UCSD total to a very above-par 245/8 in their 30 overs. UCSD didn't look back from there, knowing that they couldn't get complacent and had to put in a spirited bowling performance with the ball as well. With the ball, everyone chipped in to put pressure on the UCLA batsmen, with the intensity in the field never dropping even as victory edged closer and closer. With the ball, the top performers were captain Karan with 2-20 from his 5 overs and Ashar with 3-21 from his 3.2 overs. UCSD eventually bowled out UCLA for 128, winning by a massive 117 runs.
