UC San Diego vs SDCC U19

UC San Diego won the toss and elected to bowl first on the turf wicket at Canyon Side Park. UCSD started off with a bang in the Powerplay, taking 3 wickets in the first 3 overs to leave the u19s at 4-3 early in the powerplay. However, they consolidated with partnerships in the middle to eventually get to 112/8 in their 25 overs. It may have seemed like a below-par score, but with lots of variable bounce and turn on the wicket, it was still going to be a difficult chase. From the UCSD bowlers, captain Karan led the way with 4 wickets, with vice-captain Aryaman also picking up 2. In response, UCSD crumbled in the powerplay to end the 9th over at a paltry 35/6. However, wicketkeeper Ishan and Piyush stitched together an 81-run partnership for the seventh wicket to get UCSD home safely without any further hiccups. It concluded a great weekend for UCSD, with the team winning both of the games they played.
