In the season opener, UCSD took on Claremont McKenna College hoping to start the season on a good note on October 21st. Though they went into the second half with the score being close at 2-1, they stepped up their game in the next half and scored 8 goals — 4 of which were scored in the remaining 5 minutes. Returning MVP Sabrina Gonzales, along with Arshdeep Singh, held down the defensive end, while Sami Brinton and Will Bauer worked to keep possession and support their teammates on offense. UCSD took home a great win today and hope to carry their momentum into their game tomorrow against UCSB.
