    11/23/24 - Scrimmages vs SDSU & CPP

This event was a scrimmage between five different schools: UCSD, SDSU, CPP, UCI, and UCR. We all got to the courts around 9:00am to warm up, and we started playing matches at 9:30am. In the first round, UCSD played SDSU, and UCI played UCR. Then, UCSD played UCR and SDSU played CPP. After that, we took a lunch break. Then, UCSD played CPP and SDSU played UCR. For the last round, UCSD played UCI and CPP played UCR.

The biggest highlight of the day was the match between UCSD and UCI. Since this is one of the few practices we have against other teams before sectionals, both teams brought their best lineups. Sahil and Logan won their men's doubles match while Alyson and Raiselle lost the women's. Next came the singles. Jared lost his singles match, and Ally lost a very close match. In order to come back, Rachel and Kiichi won their mixed match, bringing it to overtime. If UCSD won one more game, they would play a tiebreak to decide the outcome of the entire match. Unfortunately, Rachel and Kiichi lost that game in a sudden death point, but the match was very close and exciting.
