Tritons Rally Late to Beat Valhalla High School
The Tritons continued their fall season with another trip to Valhalla High School. Sophomore Andrew Campos started the game but gave up three runs in two innings. The Triton bats managed to keep pace with the Norsemen owning a 4-3 lead after three innings with the help of key hits from senior Tommy Valles, junior Shane Aldas, and junior Bobby Young. Campos was followed up in relief by junior Kevin Nieh, junior Yousef Koutnik, junior Josh Barragan, senior Jake Cloutier, junior Shane Aldas, and sophomore Jordan Kassem. The Triton pitching staff did not have their best stuff on the mound Saturday as they battled through the heat. The Triton offense, on the other hand, was as hot as the weather and managed to carry the team to a 12-10 victory. The Triton offense was led by big hits from senior Lu Ling, junior Amandip Bangar, Jake Cloutier, and freshman Connor Campigli as well as heads-up baserunning from freshman Jared Vitug and senior Matthew Demarest. The Tritons will take the Halloween weekend off and get ready to face the USC Club Baseball team on Sunday, November 8th in Los Angeles.
