A Perfect Season

Last weekend, the UC San Diego Women’s Rugby team played their final game of the season. The game had a fast start with both teams scoring within the first six minutes. Wing Ly from UC San Diego made another try 12 minutes into the game with a conversion from Jaylin Stevenson. UCLA also made a try and a conversion tying the game before the end of the first half.
Wing Ly got a hat trick by scoring the first two trys of the second half. A conversion by Teigan MacDonald made the score Tritons 24 – UCLA 12. Both teams scored one more try before the end of the game making the final score Tritons 31 – UCLA 22.
The UC San Diego Women’s Rugby team achieved their goal of having an undefeated season and are now competing in the PMRC South division playoffs. Come support the UC San Diego Women’s Rugby team on 3/26 when they play UC Berkeley to move on to USA Rugby Regional Playoffs.
