UC San Diego’s Western Equestrian team traveled to Tucson, Arizona this past weekend, January 21^st and 22^nd, for the final double header of the season, hosted by the wonderful University of Arizona. During the morning show, Captain Samantha Watts won a 1^st in Intermediate 2, thus placing out of the division and into Novice. Also, rider Perry Leung took home a 4^th in the Beginner class. In the afternoon show, Captain Samantha Watts won a 4^th in the Novice class. Also, Jenika Galvin received a 4^th in Intermediate 2. Perry Leung won 6^th in the Beginner class.  On Sunday, Captain Samantha Watts competed in the Intermediate 2 Regionals, placing 1^st and advancing to the semi-finials. Overall everyone did amazing, and we cannot wait to see what’s in store for this wonderful team next year.
