4/6/25 - Game vs UCI
The Tritons took the field on Sunday, April 6th, for their final home game of the season, facing off against UC Irvine. With energy high and focus dialed in, the Tritons came out strong and maintained momentum throughout the game, securing a 12–1 win over UCI. During this game, the Tritons focused on implementing and executing the plays they have been working on all season– which they were able to score goals off of. Goal scorers for the Tritons include Sabrina Forbes with 5 goals, Grace Beatty and Kayla Tracy with 2 each, and Shini Bharadwaj, Megan Choe, and Morgan Arrasmith each adding one.
With this, the Tritons had 6 different goal scorers, displaying a well-distributed scoring effort. On the defensive end, the Tritons were relentless. Savannah Kezmoh had an astounding 7 ground balls, while Destiny Lewis and Hope Amend each collected 5, helping to fuel fast breaks and maintain possession. Further, goalkeepers Kate Shanley and Kiara Young were brick walls– saving 9 goals together against the UCI attackers. The defense played with grit and intensity, constantly forcing turnovers and setting the tone for the game. This win wrapped up the Triton's final home appearance of the season, and they are taking this momentum with them to the WWLL Championship this weekend in Santa Cruz, CA.
