The Tritons came with excitement to their game vs. CSU San Marcos. Starting the game off strong, the Tritons scored the first two goals and ended the first quarter tied with a score of 2-2. However, San Marcos took the lead in the second quarter and led for the remainder of the game, resulting in a loss for the Tritons. The Triton defenders and goalkeepers did an awesome job in protecting their goal from the San Marcos attackers, causing 12 turnovers and coming up with numerous ground balls. But, throughout the game, San Marcos found their rhythm and maintained their momentum, while the Tritons seemed to lose that fire they started with. While the result wasn’t what they had hoped for, the Tritons will take this game as a learning experience and look ahead to their next matchup following Spring Break.
