    3/15/25 - UCSD vs SDSU

The Tritons faced off against their local rivals, the San Diego State University Aztecs, in a thrilling and hard-fought match. The Tritons wasted no time putting points on the board, with Sara Tsai scoring an electric try just four minutes into the game, setting the tone for an intense battle. The forwards showed their strength early on, driving through SDSU’s defense with relentless pressure. Stella Dorsey and Brit Quezada dominated defensively, shutting down SDSU’s advances, with Brit making a critical stop off a scrum. Meanwhile, Caelen Torres showcased their skills with crucial ball steals and game-saving tackles. The Tritons' scrums remained rock-solid, holding their ground against the Aztecs' forwards. Mia Taylor had a standout moment, breaking through tackles from players twice her size, and later making an incredible run—getting tackled just outside the try zone but refusing to give up, bouncing back up to score another crucial try. As the game wore on, SDSU pushed back hard, but the Tritons held strong. In the end, UCSD emerged victorious with a nail-biting 29-24 win, capping off an incredible match filled with grit, determination, and unforgettable moments.
