It’s the first game of the quarter at UCLA and the tritons are hoping to start it off right before the season begins in a few weeks. They had three games against the other UC’s: UCLA, UC Santa Cruz, and UC Irvine. The game against UCLA was very slow and took a while for the tritons to get the pattern going. They were able to make things swing by the second half hoping to put some fight against UCLA as they were trailing behind. By the end of the game, the Tritons were able to fight off and come back a little but were unable to pull it over on UCLA but they had more chances to fix what they need in the next game.

UC Santa Cruz was the next opponent and the Tritons came out blazing ahead. The game was very back and forth in the first half such that both teams were struggling to put on any points in the first half. The Tritons needed to push through to get ahead of Santa Cruz but were unable to keep up as Santa Cruz was able to take the game a few scores ahead of the Tritons.

With two games over and UC Irvine being the last game of the day, the San Diego needed to pull forward on the last game of the day. The first half had the most back and forth and had the Tritons in the lead by the end of the first half. Unfortunately, due to injuries and fatigue by the end of the day, the Tritons were unable to win against Irvine and left defeated in the tournament at UCLA. Knowing what they need to work on before the season starts, the Tritons hope to bring back their edge, ready for the season and to finish the league on top.
