    11/6/22 - UCSD in Regionals

UC San Deigo played two games at this year's Regionals, the first against ASU and the second against UCLA. In the game against ASU, UCSD lost the toss and was sent to bat first on El Monte Field 1. UCSD scored 116 in their innings, with good performances by Nikhil and Karan. On the counter, ASU began quickly, scoring 49 within the powerplay itself. ASU managed to chase down the score within 14 overs, and UCSD began the Regionals with a tough loss.

Against UCLA, UCSD won the toss and decided to bat first. Despite a decent opening performance by Pramesh, UCSD batsmen didn't perform and UCSD managed to get to a total of 84 runs within their 10 wickets. In the second innings, UCSD's opening bowler Karan managed to get two wickets within the first over. However, UCLA managed to steady their innings due to the low required run rate and chase down the score within 14 overs, getting their first win and knocking UCSD out of the Regionals with consecutive tough losses.
