Both teams traveled up to Temecula for SCCVL’s annual Fall Classic tournament. A team ended up going 4-3 and B team went 2-3 over the weekend. Both teams played well, with each pulling out 3-set wins over UC Irvine’s A team. In each team’s final bracket game, both teams went out with a fight, with A team losing its final set to Long Beach 30-32, and B team losing its final set to UC Riverside 26-28. The program got to play other teams from all around the West Coast, with teams traveling from as far as Colorado to come play. The diversity in teams allowed for both teams to gain exposure to different playing styles, physical advantages, and new faces. Fall Classic was a great first tournament for both teams and prepared us well for the packed schedule in the winter!
