The UCSD Challenge Course is seeking dedicated individuals to hire and train as facilitators. Ideal applicants for this entry-level position possess a combination of both interpersonal and technical skills. The Challenge Course staff is made up of part-time/contract student and non-student facilitators. Facilitators develop skills and experience through a process that includes initial training, mentoring, shadowing, and on-going training and skills development.These skills will be personal and professional assets for the rest of your life.

Challenge Course Experience Day: Saturday, May 17 from 9:00am - 4:00pm, register here
TRAINING DATES: Tuesday, June 17 - Saturday, June 21 from 9am to 6pm, all dates required.
Application Process:
- Group Interviews - Following your application, group interviews will be scheduled based on interviewee availability in the weeks prior to the experience day and then training. The Challenge Course office will let you know your interview date & time.
- Experience Day - Here you will spend the day experiencing the challenge course, learning the details of what it is like to work for the challenge course and determining if this is a good fit for you.
- Training - Qualified applicants will attend a 40 plus hour training. Future employment will be contingent upon satisfactory completion of training. Attending training itself does not guarantee work.
- Shadowing - Following the free training, new facilitators will begin shadowing experienced facilitators and can expect to work between 6-30 hours/week during our busy season of May through October. Hours vary from November through June.
