The team brought 22 members to the USAT Collegiate Nationals at Lake Lanier Georgia. There were 891 competitors in the race, representing over 100 collegiate teams. The event consisted of three races, the Draft Legal Race, which Paul Lathrop, Rahul Chavan, Joanna Coker, and Makenna Adams all represented UCSD in, the Mixed Triathlon Relay, raced by the same members. The last race was the Olympic distance race which was completed by 18 members of the team. Although many members went into the race with a fear of encountering gators on the swim, no races were disrupted in account for alligators. We look forward to racing at the USAT Nationals in the future!
