Following the Tritons' huge win against #9 in the nation of Montana, they continued their forward momentum against the Vikings, hammering 5 goals by the end of the first frame. At the end of the half, the Tritons led 7-2, with attackman Alexander Franz putting up 4 goals. Face-off man Austin Weinshelbaum put up another great fight having 11 face-off wins and 5 ground balls. The game ended with a 10-2 win for the Tritons, dominating both sides of the field the entire game. This win furthered the Tritons' momentum and secured their position as #15 in the nation. With the attack responsible for 9 of those 10 goals, it is easy to say that MCLA DII player of the week was well deserved for Austin Ortel, as he put up 4 goals and 1 assist. Finn Reid and Nick Krolikowski both had 1 goal, and the freshman goalie Jarett Smith shut the Vikings out only allowing 2 goals in the second quarter.
