Saturday, we battled at home on Muir Field vs the UCSB Gauchos, in a close one-goal game. While we did not get the outcome we wanted, we played some of the best hockey we've played all season-- keeping our heads up and continuing to work hard and improve! Our first goal was scored by our two starting forwards, with captain Marissa Garcia assisting sophomore Lily Vo, who battled with the goalie on the ground to push the ball across the line! Later in the game, we scored on a penalty corner, with captain Simran Jandu assisting Cate McLeod for a beautiful tip-in on the left side of the goal. Way to go Tritons! Even though UCSD loss 2-3, it was a fun and exciting game.
