UCSD vs San Diego Masters
UCSD won the toss and elected to bat first, and contributions throughout the batting order, headlined by vice captain Aryaman Sinha's 83 off 64 balls and supported by Ishan Banerjee's 36 off 25 and captain Karan Sidhu's 26 off 19 balls took UCSD to 197/7 in their 25 overs. The innings fizzled out towards the end as wickets tumbled, but 197 was a pretty competitive/defendable total on Muir Field. In response, the San Diego Masters batted quickly, but lost consistent wickets to leave the game hanging by a thread with the score at 119-5 in 13 overs. However, ex-UCSD captain and Masters opener Pramaan put on 57 with Jainam to take the Masters into safer territory, and the Masters eventually completed their chase to win by 3 wickets. As a general unit, the UCSD bowlers bowled pretty well, but they ended up conceding too many extras.
