    UCSD vs Saint Mary College

Coming off the win against UC Santa Cruz, the Tritons were excited to take down another Northern California school. The Tritons started hot and stayed hot, graduate student and long pole Parker Kaleo had a clean scoop and score to start the game. UCSD piled on the pressure with over 20 shots, potting 9 goals in the first frame. By the end of the first half the Tritons were up 10-2 overwhelming the Gaels on both sides of the ball. Face off man Austin Weinshelbaum had another stellar day at the office with 24 wins and 14 ground balls. With 12 different goal scorers the Tritons dominated the whole game, ending 24-2. From the goalie out, UCSD finally strung together 4 very strong quarters of lacrosse and sent a strong statement, claiming Northern California as theirs. Leading goal scorer Nick Krolikowski had 4 goals and 2 assists. Austin Ortel ended the weekend with another strong performance with 3 goals and 5 assists ultimately earning him MCLA D-II player of the week. The defense led by senior captains Liam Mathers and Daniel Kubeck halted any attempt by the Gaels, holding them to just 7 shots the whole game.
