UCSD vs Mira Costa Friendly
The Tritons capped off their season at home with a friendly against the local Mira Costa Community College. It was a fantastic celebration for the San Diego rugby community, as many players on both teams have played both with and against each other multiple times before. On top of that, the women's teams from Mira Costa and UCSD played a game of seven's at halftime, and as a result, the Tritons had their biggest crowd yet. The men's game was physical and competitive. Each team wanted to show their best against each other due to the friendly rivalry that has developed over the years as a result of both teams being from San Diego. However, despite the war that was waged on the field, after the game all four teams in attendance got together to share pizza and pleasantries with one another. It was a wonderful way to cap off a season for the books; the full season in over a year due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
