The Tritons were getting ready for the toughest game of the season against Cal Lutheran University. The kickoff started with the Tritons kicking off to Cal Lutheran. The Tritons were not completely in the game and let Cal Lutheran score a try in the first five minutes of the game. The Tritons knew that they needed to come back to compete in the end, so Sean Martinez broke through the line and scored the first try of the game. Ryan Callahan converted the try and put the Tritons in the lead. The Tritons were not finished and needed another try so George McMahon set up the Tritons for another try to pat the lead. The half ended with Cal Lutheran scoring again to bring up the difference.
In the second half, the Tritons came out strong with a penalty kick kicked by Ryan Callahan. The Tritons were not finished so Ryan Morgan laid up a kick over the top and pass to Omar Kaprielian for another score for the Tritons. The lead was theirs, but Cal Lutheran came back hard with two quick tries to tie the game up. After a long back and forth, Cal Lutheran was given a questionable try in the corner to take the lead and take the game over the Tritons. After having their mistakes taken advantage of, it was the first loss of the season but with one more game against UC Riverside, the Tritons will still give it their all to end their season with a win and a very good league standing.
