In another exciting match, although ending in a disappointing result, UCSD took on CSU San Marcos away from home. The Tritons got on the scoreboard very quickly with Grad Forward Voja Maric collecting a ball from the air and calmly putting it into the net. However, UCSD was caught on their heels as CSUSM came back to score 2 quick goals, and then add another one to their tally. UCSD didn't give up, however, as they were able to get one more on the score sheet when Grad Forward Rohan Oprisko smartly caught the goalie off his line, placing a hard shot to the near post. The half ended, 2-3 in favor of CSUSM, with the game still very much in UCSD's hands. As the second half kicked off, UCSD was looking to get that 3rd goal to break the deadlock, which came when Grad Forward Rohan Oprisko finished at the far post. Despite UCSD's attacking mentality and opportunities, CSUSM was able to get a 4th after taking advantage of a counter-attack in the last minutes of the game, with the Tritons missing multiple clear chances to score. Unfortunately, CSUSM took the game in the last minutes of the game, giving UCSD a 3-4 loss for the evening.
