The B team despite being undermanned with only 7 players on the first day were able to stay competitive in their pool, even taking 9th nationally ranked UC Berkley to a 3rd set. Despite going 0-3 the first day the B team was able to slam successfully in day 2 notching some impressive plays. The A team had an up and down first day of play. They were able to pull a 3-0 day despite giving the fans a scare by taking 2 of their 3 matches to 3 sets. Day 2 for the A team was a smashing success. They swept through the competition before eventually falling in the semifinals to number 2 ranked nationally Illinois who ended up winning the tournament.
