This weekend, UCSD Sailing sailed in the South Designate Semi Final.  Hosted by USC out of US Sailing Center Long Beach, our sailors were treated to an excellently-managed regatta and two days of breeze-on conditions of the shores of the LBC.  Both days, winds built to a stiff 15 to 25 knots, but we kept it together and avoided making any crucial errors while slowly chipping away at our competition.  Placing fourth overall of thirteen teams from across the conference, we are happy that our consistent and patient strategy paid off.  We look forward to sailing against many of the same teams at the PCCSC Mark Healy Open Fleet Race Championship in April!
