UCSD Cricket Wins by 138 Runs!!!
In a rematch of the rain-affected game from last weekend, UCSD took on Marty's XI on a sunny day at Muir Field. UCSD won the toss and elected to bat first, which seemed to pay immediate dividends as Ishan Banerjee put up his 4th UCSD 50, and along with Nikhil's 36, set up the platform beautifully for a late flourish. Shanay did just that, scoring a blistering 62 off 29 balls to get his first UCSD fifty and propel UCSD to an above par 217 in their 25 overs. Under lights with a moving ball, Karan took his second UCSD five-for to leave Marty's in early trouble in the powerplay, before Aryaman spun a web with his offspin to finish off the tail and picked up 3. Great win for UCSD and kept the momentum going for the team before a very important Nationals tournament. The game ended with a UCSD win with a score of 217/9 (25.0/25.0 overs) vs MK Cricket Academy score of 79/10 (13.0/25 overs).
