UCSD and CSU Long Beach faced off at Muir field under heavy rain this past Saturday. The slick surface added a different element to the game that both teams were not used to and goals were flying in left and right. The hosts began the game on the front foot scoring 2 goals in the first 10 minutes. Long Beach kept their composure and managed to pull one back just a couple minutes after. Both teams battled for 90 minutes getting stuck in using the wet field to slide tackle opponents. It was a very chippy game to say the least but your fellow Tritons were too much to handle as they bagged two more goals in the second half. Long Beach were able to get another consolation goal late on but there was not enough time to mount a comeback. UCSD remains undefeated!
