UC San Diego travelled to Fullerton on Sunday, October 2nd to play their second Fall League game. The boys from Cal State Fullerton didn’t realize that it was the team with the most goals, not the most fouls, wins the game. Fullerton hacked, swore in Spanish, and flopped for ninety minutes. UC San Diego broke the deadlock in the first half with a set piece goal from Jonah “Straight Outta Malibu” Gooden. Gooden released a powerful shot onto the face of a Fullerton player, the ball deflected off the face of the Fullerton player and found its way into the goal. The field and the refs tried their best to hand Fullerton a tie, but the Triton’s defense held strong. It wasn’t a pretty game, but the Tritons walked away with 3 points and an amazing start to their Fall League campaign.
