UC San Diego vs. UC Santa Barbara

The start of this game was a unique one, to say the least. Against all odds, we started off strong by scoring first and holding them strong on defense. The team's first-year Savannah Kezmoh started out in the midfield playing a crucial role on attack and defense. By the second quarter, Santa Barbara had a comeback evening up the game. With the second and third quarters going back and forth, the tritons went into the 4th quarter down 2 goals. 10 minutes into the quarter we were tied up. With 2 minutes to go, the Gauchos had possession of the ball on attack. The Triton Defense played strong, getting a turnover and transitioning it over to attack. The attack played calmly, spreading it out and passing it around to find the open person. With a three-pass combo, Delainey Iles connected with Heather Hirsch who made the winning goal.
