UC San Diego vs MK Cricket
In the one-sided affair, UCSD won the toss and elected to bat first on Muir Field. UCSD openers started strong, scoring a quick-fire 67 within the first 7 overs of powerplay for a loss of just one wicket. It was an excellent display of batting from UCSD batsmen Ishan and Aryaman, ending their innings with 84 (66) and 105 (64), respectively. Aryaman became the third UCSD player to score a century, yet another milestone in his illustrious career. UCSD set a very good target of 243 runs to get in 25 overs. In the second innings, UCSD started strong with an early wicket. Despite a decent partnership from the MK batsmen, UCSD bowlers maintained the pressure and kept the run rate low. UCSD managed to get key wickets and end the MK Cricket innings two overs short as they bowled them out for 128. Although it was a one-sided match, it certainly boosted UCSD's confidence in their first game since Nationals.
