UC San Diego vs. Grand Canyon University Women's Lacrosse

It was an intense game against GCU, as they came out fighting hard from the first whistle. Starting off strong was Destiny Lewis, UCSD's first year, scoring two goals right off the bat. The back and forth first quarter kept the team on their toes making some great defense. saves, and shots on goal. Another one of the teams first years, Kiara Young made some amazing saves keeping the game close.

During the second quarter the Tritons started to pick it up, winning almost every draw and allowing no goals scored on defense. This had GCU on their toes and caused them to call a timeout, which was unsuccessful in disrupting UCSD's intensity.

UCSD fans got loud in the 3rd quarter, cheering on the team as they put in goals left and right. The team had some turnovers in the midfield which helped keep the ball on our side. UCSD kept up the energy for the final quarter keeping GCU from soring on their last possession. The Tritons won the game 21-12 against GCU Women's Lacrosse.
