On the weekend of November 11th through 12th, the UC San Diego Equestrian team headed east for the show in Norco. It was a tough one but its shows like these that challenge us as a team and bring us closer together. It’s a good reminder to why we are doing this in the first place: horseback riding is what we all love and we have a great time doing it. Despite how we may do at a show, riding is what ultimately keeps us going and what we must focus in on.
Everybody managed to pull it together and we had a good show overall, with huge improvements for everyone on Sunday!
Becca Huntly-Playle placed second in open flat on Saturday, and fourth in open fences and reserve in open flat on Sunday. Aleena Karamally placed sixth in intermediate flat on Saturday, and fourth in intermediate flat on Sunday. Madeline Haff was awarded reserve in advanced walk-trot-canter on Saturday. Dani Sprouse was awarded reserve in beginning walk-trot-canter on Sunday. Alyssa Franklin placed third in beginning walk-trot-canter on Saturday. It was also her first time riding in this division! Sasha Doval placed second in beginning walk-trot-canter on Sunday.
We are very proud of everyone!
