This past weekend the UCSD Women’s Volleyball team competed in their third league tournament of the season, coming out with a record of 2-1 after facing off against USC, USD and CSUN.

The Tritons started off the day with a three set nail biter against USC. In the first game Ryley Moore took one for the team, falling on the floor while going for a kill. Not only did this help them win the first game, but this ultimately became the spark for the entire set, as after a rough start to the second game, they pulled out the W in the third, winning it for the bruise.  In the next game of the day, the Tritons faced off against USD ultimately losing a hard fought game as the Toreros barely beat them. Tired of close games, UCSD got on their horse and in the next game destroyed CSUN in two sets. Unfortunately the tournament was ultimately cut short as it ended early because the gym was not reserved for long enough. Because of this the Tritons were not able to play UCSB, but we all know our ladies would have SHOCKED ‘EM! Stay tuned for league champs where we plan on crushing all the competition.
