WELCOME TO THE BAY. After riding their scrapper bikes up to Northern California, the Tritons landed in the hometown of Mac Dre and the Thizzle Dance. The Tritons were here for two games on what they call their annual “Nor Cal Trip.” The first game was against the Bears of Berkeley. The Tritons came out hot, but failed to score in the first half. They went down 1-0 right before halftime because of a poorly marked header. A line change in the second half spurred the Tritons to victory. A powerful header from Jaime “Thicc” Ayala and a weak shot from Rohan “Hate Hate Hate” Oprisko that luckily deflected into the net, put the UC San Diego in the lead. Berkeley “forgot” to get refs for the game and thankfully karma is real. Tritons 2. Bears 1.

The second game saw UC San Diego square off with Stanford. The Tritons dominated the Tree in the first half on a field as large as UC San Diego’s campus. Sadly, this domination did not lead to a goal. Stanford was surprisingly dirty and chippy for a team whose mascot is a tree. Stanford had one quality shot on goal and it happened to go in. The Tritons had to hold the L, but look for them to bounce back this weekend on Saturday against Point Loma. Trees 1. Tritons 0.
