UC San Diego Club Field Hockey took on Claremont McKenna as the first game of the season this past Sunday, October 9, 2016. After driving 2 hours to the field, they geared up and got ready to take on the Serpents. They started off strong, quickly making their way up the field and dominating the game in their offensive half despite the heat. Will Bauer scored the first goal of the game only a couple minutes before half time, giving UC San Diego the lead. During the second half, the team continued their passing game, leading to an incredible assist by Sehj Singh and goal by captain Rachel To. The final score was 2-0, and the UC San Diego Field Hockey team came away with their first of hopefully many victories of the season.
