On the weekend of December 3rd through 4th, (aka the weekend before finals!!) the English Equestrian team hosted a show at Galway Downs in Temecula. It was a very stressful weekend but a huge success for the team. We got reserve high point team on Saturday, the first team award the UC San Diego has received in two years!! We are so proud of everyone who showed and everyone who came to help us out, we could not have done it without you!

Becca Huntly-Playle placed 2nd in open fences on Saturday and reserve in open flat on Sunday. Aleena Karamally placed 5th in intermediate fences and 3rd in intermediate flat on Saturday, and 6th in intermediate flat on Sunday. Jamie Lee placed 3rd in both novice fences and flat on Saturday. Bahar Salehi placed 4th in advanced walk-trot-canter on Saturday. Madeline Haff was awarded reserve in advanced walk-trot-canter on Saturday. Sasha Doval placed third in beginning walk-trot-canter on Saturday. Dani Sprouse placed first in beginning walk-trot-canter on Sunday. Alyssa Franklin placed first in beginning walk-trot-canter on both Saturday and Sunday, which allowed her to point out of her division! She will be riding in advanced walk-trot-canter at future shows.

Regardless of the placings, everyone rode amazingly and we could not be more proud of our team!
