Tritons Finish Pre-season Strong
Your tritons had one more challenge before going to thanksgiving break. With a number of injuries the Men still had to show up and play. It started with a rocky start but ended in their favor.
In the first half (40 min) Armada came out and scored a try (5 points) missing the conversion (2 points). The tritons did not cave or give in. Following that the tritons successfully stole the ball and started racking up the score board. Starting off with a hard run by winger Fernando Harris. Following shortly first try by rookie Trai Pham. Next another score by rookie Chris Kunz. Another Try by Fernando Harris from the assist by Bailey Schantz. Finishing the half off with Jacob coming out of the scrum and running it to the try line.
Next quarter the tritons came out ready to work lacking subs due to injury. Mark Keegan back in at fly half came in a lead the tritons to grow their lead. By drawing the defense in and making a break for a try. One more try by rookie Eder following shortly. Even though the tritons line outs weren't the best they played defense well on against armadas, which lead to Seths first try. Next a kick by Mark Keegan lead to Alex De La Cruz to steal the ball and score a try. Close to the 80th minute Henry Song scored his first try by catching the armada offense off their feet. Even though the tritons played well, they have a long way to go to be at the standard they set for themselves. They have winter break and the first few weeks of the winter quarter to come back stronger and more focused.
