Tritons Bring Out the Brooms vs University of Arizona
Game 1:
The Tritons take their first conference road trip to Tuscon in a series match-up against the University of Arizona Wildcats and bust out the brooms and sweep them on their turf.
In the first game of the series, we had a close one. Nicholas Aiken, Diego Pena, and Brandon Imai would each give the tritons hits with Aiken giving an RBI. With a series of fielder choices from Curtis Faletti and Nate Fichtner, the Tritons would score 3 and outlast the Wildcats to open the series with a win. On the mound for the Tritons, Finn Daecher would lead the Tritons to victory by allowing only 3 hits and striking 4 in a very efficient game for Daecher. Cesar Bravo would close it out in the bottom of the 7th to secure the win for the Tritons.
Game 2:
After the Tritons got the game 1 jitters out of the way, the Tritons would roll over the Wildcats with a 15-6 win. A plethora of hits would give the Tritons the win with Cesar Bravo leading the charge with a home run, double, and 2 RBIs. Brandon Imai and Diego Pena had big days with Imai securing 4 RBIs and Pena collecting three hits and an RBI too. Connor Price and Curtis Faletti would also add to hits each. On the mound for the Tritons would be Ethan Adamson who would go 2.2 IP followed by Nicholas Aiken, Jerry Andre, and Nate Fichtner who would hold the Wildcats to 6 runs.
Game 3:
Looking for the sweep the next day, the Tritons would end their stay in Tucson in fashion with a 13-5 win over the Wildcats. A parade of hits would again do the job for the Tritions, with Senior Dylan Vargas leading the way, going 3 for 5 with a homerun, double and single with 2 RBIs and 4 runs scored. Tyler Geraty would add singles and 3 RBIs and Connor Price would add two hits and 2 RBIs. Brandon Imai and Kai Christman got in on the action, each with two hits each giving another 3 RBIs combined. On the mound for the Tritions was Ethan Ou who gave 5 IP, giving up 2 hits and striking out 3 in his performance. Roland Wen and Ethan Adamson would come in to finish off the game, giving the Tritions the sweep.
