The lady Tritons played their first league game of the season this past Sunday against UC Santa Barbara. UCSB scored twice and had one successful conversion kick in the first 20 minutes of game. UCSD responded by picking up the tempo of the game and they scored a try 30 minutes into the half. UCSB scored once more to end the half making the score UCSD 5 – UCSB 17.

UC Santa Barbara came out strong in the second half and scored a try within the first 5 minutes. The San Diego defense rallied but UCSB scored another 3 tries before the end of the game. The final score was UCSD 5 – UCSB 37.
