    Seaside Contest

Anticipating little-to-no swell at Seaside, the team rolled up on Saturday with small-wave gear and a small-wave mindset. To our surprise, Seaside had some decent 2-4ft swell with the best waves switching back and forth between the inside break and the outer reef throughout the entire weekend.

On Saturday, men's shortboard had a good start with our entire A-team making it through round one, scoring some good points for the team. Some of our men's shortboarders were able to make it through to round 3, but unfortunately not able to make it to the later rounds.

Sunday's conditions were a slight improvement with glassy waves and a bit more size on the outer reef. One of our longboarders, Trent Webster, surfed exceptionally well styling his way through heats, but just missed out on making it to the finals. Our women's shortboarders grinded through the heats despite tricky high-tide conditions, with the majority of them making it past the quarterfinals. Both Maddie Garlough and Makena Burke made it to the finals, with Maddie placing fourth and Makena placing third! Thanks to the entire team for supporting each other throughout the day and making it a memorable weekend for everyone.
