UCSD Women’s Beach Volleyball rolled into the CBVT League Championships in Huntington on November 24th ready to prove once and for all their dominance in the sand for the last tournament of the fall season. Many of the Tritons that made an appearance finished high with representation in the second, third, and fourth place. Val Jimenez and Bella Cobarruvias battled for the title but lost falling short 3 points in an epic fight for first. UCSDs very own Jess Beksa and Sam Weiner played for third against Diana Che and Becca Strait with Jess and Sam coming out on top. With many UCSD teams finishing in top spots, the Women’s University 2019 Champions Trophy was secured, proving superiority over all other universities. The Tritons will spend their offseason lifting and training to defend their title in the spring events
